The Wedgetail roof rack designed for the EGR Roll Top is installed using a small bracket that is riveted to the canopy roof with high-strength stainless sealed rivets and sealed to the roof using a suitable natural cure silicon. Once installed, the Wedge-wing one-piece mounting kit is attached, connecting to the Wedgetail platform.

The benefits of this mounting system extend beyond increased load rating and enhanced aesthetics, it also facilitates easy removal. The Wedgetail can be completely detached from the vehicle by undoing four bolts, leaving only the four small brackets securely sealed to the roof.

How do Accessories Attach?

The Wedgetail platform features robust crossbars that run to the left and right sides of the vehicle. These crossbars include a heavy-duty channel on both the top and bottom enabling any Wedgetail accessories to be quickly locked in or out. Additionally, this design allows for easy fitting of a wide range of alternative accessories onto the Wedgetail rack when required.

What is the Weight Rating?

One thing you can be sure about with a Wedgetail rack is that no matter what road you are on in this country their full load rating will apply. Wedgetail racks do not need to be de-rated in offroad conditions due to the design and construction methods used, including their Wedge-lock corners.

The load rating for the Wedgetail rack fitted to a EGR Roll Top is 100 kg. However, it is crucial to be aware of your canopy's roof load rating, information that can be obtained from EGR. Subtracting the 22kg weight of the Wedgetail platform from your roof rating provides the legal carrying capacity.
